Clayton Center for the Arts

The Art Market Gallery will be presenting an exhibit of member’s work at the Clayton Center for the Arts in Maryville, TN.  The Exhibit will be in the Denso Art Gallery.  As a gathering place for the community and its visitors and as the home of the Maryville College fine and performing arts program, the Clayton Center for the Arts provides opportunities for the lifelong expression and appreciation of the arts.

The exhibit will run from Sunday, August 19 through Saturday, September 29.

Kathy Lovelace will participate in the exhibit with a painted stool.  This piece, pictured below, is a 2 ‘ tall, black wooden stool.

Brown Trout Painting on tall black stool

The seat is hand painted with a beautiful and colorful Brown Trout.  The painted portion of the stool has been sealed with ten coats of polycrylic so that the stool is fully functional and can be used without fear of damaging the underlying painting.

You can view other art by Kathy Lovelace at the Art Market Gallery at 422 Gay Street in  downtown Knoxville .
